The machine uses a reel of tubular stretch film with side gussets to wrap the package. The film is applied over the product by means of an automatic system; all functions are controlled by a PLC, and the presence of an operator is required only to replace the film reel. The hoods are prepared at the rear of the machine, while hooding occurs at the front (product side). A transverse frame collects the film from the guides located in the lower rear section of the machine. The welding and cutting unit prepares the bag, which is then conveyed to the upper central area of the machine where it is picked up by a motorised system with special rubber coating. The opened bag is then easily fitted over the package by the downward movement of the arch, guiding it precisely down to the base of the product.
